The Match & Mask Challenge Grant
Make a Gift. Have it Matched. Get a Mask.
We are calling on the entire Laker Community to unite in support of our students as they navigate their return to campus for Fall Semester 2020 beginning on August 10th. Our students have additional challenges due to the complexities of the Covid-19 crisis. It is our goal to welcome them back safely, provide the best “Laker experience” possible and raise funds to help our students in need.
By creating a unique partnership between the LSSU Foundation, Campus Life, Financial Aid and Marketing/Communications we present The Match & Mask Challenge Grant.
What is it?
The LSSU Foundation is providing a $10,000 Challenge Grant matching gifts for those who make a donation to the Bud Mansfield Student Emergency Fund prior to our Laker students returning on August 10, 2020.
This is a dollar-for-dollar challenge where you can double the positive impact of your gift in support of Lakers during these difficult and uncertain times. Not only will your gift be matched, you will receive your choice of attractive Laker-themed protective masks! See below to select from the very unique options.
The LSSU Financial Aid Department has identified over 280 students who do not qualify for CARES Act funding related to the issues caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic. Their needs are very real and could be the road block that ends their college career. Whether it is food and housing insecurities, overcoming incidental travel expenditures or other travel costs for our international students, they need our help!
The LSSU Financial Aid Department is currently receiving emergency applications from Laker Students. Grants will be made in increments of $500, $1,000 or $1,500 based on need.
How can I help?
By making a gift that is meaningful to you. If you donate at least $30 you will receive a Laker-themed protective mask. All donations will be matched by the LSSU Foundation Challenge Grant up to $10,000. Give today!
